Prof. Igor Ozim
Igor Ozim was born in Ljubljana, Slowenia. After finishing his studies in Ljubljana, he continued studying under Max Rostal in London. In 1951, he won the Carl Flesch prize.
After participating in the competition of ARD in 1953, he begun playing concerts intensively in Europe and overseas.
His grand reportoire counts 60 violin concerts and numerous pieces of chamber music. A lot of temporary compositions, which he premiered, are devoted to him. His concerts brought him to grand international orchestras, such as the London Symphony Orchestra, philharmonic orchestra of Warsaw, the BBC Orchestra and numerous broadcoasting orchestras.
As one of the most popular violin teachers in Europe and the whole world, he tought at the Hochschule für Musik Cologne and Hochschule für Musik Berne as well as at Mozarteum Salzburg. He gives master classes all over the world and is a juryman of many grand competitions.
